Memorio Studio LLC respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information. We keep this simple because privacy shouldn't require a law degree to understand.

What We Collect

When you place an order:

• Your name, email address, and shipping address
• The photograph(s) you upload
• Your portrait style, size, and approval decisions
• Payment information (handled by our payment provider — we never see or store your card number)

When you use the Site:

• Standard analytics including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and how you found us
• Cookies for site functionality and basic analytics (more below)

When you contact us:

• Whatever you choose to share in your message

How We Use Your Information

• To create and deliver your portrait
• To communicate with you about your order
• To respond to questions and provide customer support
• To improve the Site and our service
• To comply with legal obligations
• To detect and prevent fraud

That's it. We don't use your information for anything else.

How We Use AI

Memorio uses AI tools to assist with portrait composition. A human member of our studio team reviews every portrait before it's approved for printing.

Your photograph is sent to our AI provider solely for producing your specific portrait. We have contractual data processing agreements with our AI providers that prohibit them from using your photograph to train their AI models or for any purpose outside of fulfilling your order.

How We Share Your Information

Memorio works with a select set of trusted service providers to produce, deliver, and support every portrait. These partners help us with:

• Payment processing
• AI-assisted image composition
• Production and delivery of your canvas
• Order communications
• Technical infrastructure and security

Each partner is contractually required to protect your information and use it only for your order. They cannot use your information for their own marketing, share it with anyone else, or keep it longer than necessary.

We never sell your personal information. We never share it with third parties for their own marketing. Your photograph stays solely under our control and our trusted partners' care.

How Long We Keep Your Information

• Photographs: Deleted from active systems within 90 days of order completion. Encrypted backups are deleted within 180 days.
• Order records: Retained for 7 years for tax, warranty, and legal compliance purposes.
• Email subscribers: Until you unsubscribe.
• Analytics data: Aggregated and retained indefinitely. Individual session data is deleted within 90 days.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to or limit certain uses
• Receive your information in a portable format
• Opt out of certain data uses

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your information are: contract performance (to fulfill your order), legitimate interests (to operate and improve our business), legal compliance, and consent (where applicable). You have the rights described above, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for essential site functionality and basic analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels from social networks. By using the Site, you consent to our use of cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly.

Children

Memorio is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us at privacy@memoriostudio.com and we'll delete it promptly.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, restricted internal access, and regular security review. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever experience a data breach affecting your information, we'll notify you promptly and per applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date.
